Last Wednesday saw race number 1 in the Hatfield 5K series. Striders men took 1^st place overall with Steve Buckle finishing 1^st in amazing 16.07 with Alex Smith and Jonathan finishing 3^rd and 5^th respectively. Adam Yorweth also finished in the top 10. Striders women also finished 1^st overall. Mega Walker finished 2^nd in a time of 17.43. Wendy Walsh finished 4^th and Clair Drage 12^th.

Striders had 4 representatives at the Great North Run. Judy Willits took the honours of being 1^st Strider in a time of 1.48:59 finishing in 5,715^th position. Suzi Wegenek, Steven Harrison and Ruth Crowther all finished with 57 seconds of each other.

Carrie Frazer completed the Phoenix:Runificent 2 marathon, her 36^th marathon.

Hannah Burkhardt and Adam Yorwerth completed the Peak Raid3 Series finishing as 1^st mixed pair and 12^th overall.

And finally a big shout out to the those runners and marshals involved in the 20 mile marathon training.
