The St Albans Striders membership year runs from April to March each year, concurrent with the England Athletics membership year.
If you have volunteered at a Striders event between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020 then you are eligible for volunteer membership at a discounted rate.
St Albans Striders are affiliated to Hertfordshire County Amateur Athletic Association.
Throughout the year there are a number of open road races that also host the senior and/or veterans (women 35+ and Men 40+) county championships races.
Individuals are eligible to participate in county championship race if they:-
1. Were born in Hertfordshire or
2. Currently residing in Hertfordshire (At least 9 months)
When you enter the races you will be asked to confirm if you are eligible. You will then be included in the county championship results for that race and may be lucky enough to win individual or team medals.
If you are not eligible for county races then you can still run these races but will only be eligible for the open race awards.
Note that the entry fees for these races are NOT paid for by the club, with the exception of the relays.
