The 40th anniversary St Albans Half Marathon was run Sunday, on the usual hilly course taking in Batchwood and Bedmond. Once again it was a warm and sunny day for the competitors.

Over 100 St Albans Striders took part – taking second place in both the men’s and women’s race with Matt Cooper in 1:12:17 and Megan Walker in 1:22:11. Stefano Fererici also took third spot in 1:12:36

Penny Habbick and Wendy Walsh were first and second FV50 in 1:30:04 and 1:35:28 and John Cooper was first MV60 in 1:32:02
