Herts County XC Championships - Verulamium Park, St Albans (07/01/24)

We are very proud to be hosting the 2024 Hertfordshire County XC Championships at Verulamium park on Sunday, 7 January 2024.

St Albans Striders will be looking to make it a 4th successive county cup win after winning in 2020, 2022 and 2023 (2021 event was cancelled). This year we need a strong team to retain the trophy on our home ground.

This is a local event open to all EA registered club members of all ages and abilities.

RACE START TIMES/DISTANCES

• 12.30: U20 Men/Senior Women (8km)
• 13.15: Seniour Men (12km)

RULES

No competitor may be entered in more than one County's championships - qualification is by birth or residence (UKA Rule G2 S6 (1) applies). Only HCAAA affiliated clubs and schools will be eligible for team medals.

TEAMS:

Senior Men: 6 to score
Senior Women: 4 to score.

CAR PARKING

As this is a local St Albans race, St Albans Striders are encouraged to walk/cycle/lift share wherever possible. Several local pay and display car parks are available, expect these to be busier than usual on race day.

COUNTY TEAM SELECTION

County Team Managers will be handing out letters to selected athletes for possible inclusion in the County's teams at the CAU CHAMPIONSHIPS meeting on 9th March 2024 at Loughborough. - the first twelve finishers in all races (except the under 11s) should contact County Team Managers immediately after their race and return their letters.
