Stampede Volunteers

Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with the pre-race organisation, for marshalling, helping with the food and clearing up afterwards. The course will be set out on the Friday afternoon, so four people are needed from 16:00 for about two hours on the Friday afternoon. The race runs from 9:00am through to 9:00pm and help will be needed from 7:00am through to about 10:30pm.

The list of roles includes:

• Marshals – all day
• Kitchen assistance – all day
• Course set out - Friday 16:00
• HQ setup - 7:00 to 9:00
• Car park - 7:00 to 9:00
• HQ number collection - 7:30 to 8:45
• Last lap in the dark buddy runners - 19:30 till last runner home
• Last runner sweep by bike - 20:45
• Course clear up - 21:00 to 22:00
• HQ clear up - 20:00 to 22:00

We don’t expect anyone to be there all day, although if that’s what you want to do then great. For the marshals and all-day jobs, we are going to use four shifts of 3 hours each again this year. If you want to do a morning shift and then come back later in the day then that will also be very welcome. Do not forget this is a fun day, so family and friends are very welcome to help as well.

The shifts will be:

• Shift one - 08:30 to 12:00
• Shift two - 11:30 to 15:00
• Shift three - 14:30 to 18:00
• Shift four - 17:30 to 21:00
