Parkrun tourism - Mile End

For the July parkrun tourism we are going to do something a bit different and go further afield. The objective is Mile End parkrun and to get there we are planning a little bit of fun.

The idea is to catch the Thameslink to St Pancras and then cycle the 5.5 miles along the Regents Canal towpath to Mile End Park.

The plan is to get the 07:43 from St Albans arriving at 08:04, which then gives plenty of time to get to Mile End Park for the start. Just be warned at some of the bridges the tow paths are a little narrow but still perfectly safe. We would recommend mountain or hybrid bikes.

Then after coffee and breakfast we will take a more leisurely and scenic route home, perhaps catching the train from West Hampstead. Non-cyclists are of course welcome to make their own way and see us there.
