World Champs Relay

We were hoping to run our World Champs Relay on Saturday 15 July but after a busy few months for the club, we are going to need more time to organise the event so it has been postponed.

The new date is still to be confirmed and you can help make the decision! Please vote in the poll herewith the ALL dates you are available (the options are Saturday 29 July, Saturday 5 August and Saturday 12 August) and we will try and select the day as many as possible can make.

Sorry to anyone who had been saving the original date but as it will involve a lot of coordination with handovers and mini buses, we need some extra planning time.

Delaying the relay means we will hold it closer to - or during - the World Athletics Champs being held in London this summer too, so there will be more of a buzz around the Olympic Park and we can soak up the atmosphere there before returning home.

We will send out an email and post on Facebook, the messageboard and the blog with full details when the new date has been set so watch this space! The plan is to follow the same route we used for our fun Olympic Relay in 2012, with 7 to 8 mile legs mostly off-road, starting at Westminster Lodge and finishing at the Olympic Park.
