Summer League races on track and road

After three races in the Midweek League we're currently topping the table - but only just!
The final standings could all change after the last scoring fixture on Thursday 6 July so we need you to come and run and help us win the League!

The 10k race is on a scenic, undulating course in Chingford. If you have run in the League already this year, don't forget your number. If you haven't taken part yet then it is not too late to get involved and help us become the champions again.

Then on Thursday 13 July the League ends when the clubs from all three divisions come together for the 'Mob Match' in Welwyn. This is just for fun and won't make a difference to the League result but it's another opportunity to do a friendly 10k race followed by a feast of cake and sandwiches! The team and individual trophies will also be handed out afterwards so please stay and support the presentation.

Meanwhile, there are still opportunities to get involved in the track leagues we are competing in.
The final fixture of the Herts & North Middlesex Masters League is on Monday 10 July in Hemel Hempstead. If you're aged 35 plus and would like to try a field event or race a 200m, 800m or 3000m then get involved! You don't have to be fast, just finishing can score much-needed points for the team and you might even bag a club record!

Also on the track, the final Southern Athletics League fixtures will be on Saturday 8 July in Luton and Saturday 19 August in Watford. We join forces with St Albans AC at this event so it's a chance to meet more people, inspire the next generation (or be inspired by them!) and contribute to the team effort. Again, just finishing/throwing/jumping in certain events can equal points to bolster the team position.
