Over 70 Striders participated in the Hatfield 5-mile road race on Sunday, with many achieving personal best times on the fast, flat course.

The race also saw Striders win the Herts Veterens 5-mile Championship, led by Jonathan Scott in 27:36 (overall winner in the Vets race), and teammates Gareth Parker, Ian Hirth and Stephen Hosty all posting impressive times inside 29½ minutes.

Wendy Walsh was first FV45 in 33:35.

Other personal best times in the race included Richard Evans (29:38), Alex Johnston (30:41), Nigel Ashton (31:17), Andrew Page (32:13), Allie Park-Crown (36:19), Mike Trotman (36:30) and Kate Tettmar (39:15).

Elsewhere, Anna Buckingham ran a personal best time of 3hr 11 mins in the Florence Marathon, securing her place for London next year.

Several Striders ran in the Hertfordshire Half Marathon at Knebworth, including Becky Kelway and Adrian Atterby who both ran personal best times for the distance.

Julia Beton ran the San Sebastian 10k race in Spain, just 2 seconds outside her best time.
