St Albans Striders dominated the podium at the St Albans 10k on Sunday 20th July. 15 Striders took part in the race which was held and Highfield Park. Freya Weddell flew in first across the finish line in the women’s race with an astonishing time of 35:38 and teammate Patrick Hayes took silver for the men’s race in a speedy 35:14.

30 miles south in Battersea Park, London, Catherine O’Connor also took the podium in a Striders vest. She came second woman in the Battersea Park Half Marathon in a remarkable 1 hour 23 minutes.

Representing St Albans Striders across the ultra-marathon distance, was Charlotte Holloway who took on the Fairland Valley Challenge 50k. The self navigated, challenging trail race was completed by Charlotte in 6 hours 43 minutes.
