A new route for the Watford half marathon still proved to be demanding due to the hilly terrain. However, St Albans Striders turned out a team of 44 and posted many very impressive times.

First Strider was Matthew Cooper who finished in second position overall with an incredible time of 1:12:57 beating his pb by a staggering 4 minutes. Cooper was also 1st in the Senior Mens County Champs. He was followed by Stefano Federici and Adam Yorweth. In fact there were 12 Striders who posted sub 1 hour 30 times.

First female Strider home was Hannah Burkhardt in 1:31:25. She was in fifth position overall. Wendy Walsh was the second female Strider (and second in her age category) and third was Nicky Laitner.

Deirdre Heydecker came 3^rd in her category.

There was also a pb for Robin Newby in 1 hour 33.
