As the heatwave is now massively impacting on runs this coming week there are still events to celebrate from last.

Anna Carter entered and completed the Race to the Stones which was 100k over two days. She achieved this amazing event in a time of 15 hours, 46 minutes and 47 seconds and in so doing she finished in an overall position of 100th out of a field of 343.

Patrick Hayes finished in 6th position in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10k in a time of 38.18.

For this month’s park run tourism a small but intrepid group of Striders attended the event at Mile End. To get there they went by train to St Pancras followed by an interesting cycle ride along the Grand Union Canal. Caroline Wheeler achieved a PB and finished first in her category.
