A week of varied challenges and achievements!

Andrew McKillop completed the incredible Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc – a 106 mile race around the Mount Blanc Massif – in 38 hrs 43 mins 1 sec.

Andrew reports: “It’s incredibly tough but the views make it worthwhile. The hardest part is the altitude: breath and heart rate are off the scale. At my level, there is a lot of hiking, for example the 5km out of Courmayeur takes me 90mins due to 750 metres of climbing. One of my favourite parts of the race is after the 1st hard night, to see the Sun lighting up the Italian Alps dripping with glaciers and you feel like you’re level with them!”

John Cooper broke two more Club V60 records at the Sandy Track meeting: 800m (2:37.1) and 10000m (39:58.1).

Caroline Bailes ran the Spitfire 10k at Hendon RAF museum, finishing 4th female and 1st vet overall (and V50).

Jim Simpson took part in the Howgill Fells marathon, finishing 11th MV50 in 3:41:40

Finally Jack Brooks completed yet another marathon in his extraordinary career, finishing the Capricorn Challenge Trail Marathon, Gravesend on Thursday in 5:15:03
