On Saturday the English National Cross-Country Championships took place near Chester. The female team consisting of Hollie Ryder, Louise Bentham, Natalie Richards and Mandy Attree finished 48th out of 86 completed teams. The men’s team consisted of Edward Anders, Thomas Croft, Nigel Aston, Steve Saver, Michael Jack and Steve Bowran.

There was a good turnout at the Wokingham half marathon on Sunday. Chris Wrighton lead the Striders home finishing in 64th place out of a field of 2,500 in a time of 1.14.18. He was followed by Jim King who was 3rd in his age group in 1.17.21 which is a new club record. Lucy Waterlow as the first female Strider home and 31st female overall in 1.25.00, followed by Freya Weddell (1.28.01) who also finished in the top 50 females. Other Striders competing were Martin Whitworth (1.25.02), Hannah Rayden (1.32.28) and Deborah Steer (1.36.54).

Stefano Federici finished in 4th place out of over 600 competitors at the Bourton-on-the-Water 10k in Gloucestershire with a PB of 32.11.
