A busy week as the autumn road race season gets into full swing!

On Wednesday Matthew Cooper achieved an impressive first place in the Olympic Park “Chase the Sun” 10k event in a Personal Best time of 33:06

The final Striders Club Championship race of the year was the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham. Strongest finishers for the Striders were Patrick Hawker in 5th place in 1:14:24 and Penny Habbick who finished 4th Lady in 1:27:54. Other impressive results included Nigel Aston (1:28:38), Howard Bull (1:30:48 PB) and Alastair Green (1:36:24).

Harriet Hollis completed a 50k Ultra race in Tring, finishing in 7th place in 5 hours 18.

Striders were also in action in Europe: Steve Buckle finished 19th in the Warsaw Marathon (also third in the M40 veterans category); and Helen Palmer, Jo Farmer, Anna Carter and Paul & Tracey Mostyn ran the iconic Berlin Marathon.
