This week saw another strong turnout for Striders at the Luton leg of the Chiltern Cross Country League. With 80 participants across the male/female age categories, it was no surprise to see some high placements.

There were top 10 places for Archie Marshall (4th Sen M; 32:13), Isaac Gibson-Dunt (7th U15 M; 14:25), John McNaught (4th U13 M; 10:27), Connor Treloar (6th U13 M; 10:37), Guy Russell-Jones (7th U13 M; 10:40), Keira Stern (5th Sen F; 21:30), Hannah Burkhardt (9th Sen F; 22:32), Paloma Theobalds (U15 F; 16:55), Emma Treloar (U15 F; 17:07), Phoebe Crudgington (U13 F;11:05), Elodie Smith (U13 F; 11:44).

It's certainly great to see the emerging talent coming through the groups, to give Striders 3rd place overall (5th Male Team and 1st Female Team), and 4th place in the league after 3 fixtures.

Farther afield there were amazing performances for Carole-Anne Upton at the Singapore Marathon, finishing 5th in her age category (1:51:20); plus Patrick Hayes dug deep at the Valecia Marathon to get a PB of 2:48:22.

Could there be more strong results and PBs before the end of the year??
