Saturday saw the Renunion 5k race at Kempton Park – this was a trial event for the return of mass-participation racing without social distancing. All participants had negative Covid tests the day before the race and will be followed-up with testing in the coming days.

Gareth Parker was fastest Strider, finishing 22^nd overall and 4^th M40 in 17.39, while Jonathan Bird finished 87^th (and 7^th M45) in 19.30

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ‘traditional’ race atmosphere without the need for social distancing and we hope this helps to pave the way for the return of mass-participation racing.
