Striders were in action across a range of events and distances this weekend, once again showcasing the breadth of disciplines and competitions members of the Club take part in. 

At the Hertfordshire County Indoor Athletics Championships, Jethro Offemaria competed in the shot put: delivering an excellent performance to secure the county silver medal with a throw of 6.55m. 

On the roads, the Hillingdon 20 Miler took place on Sunday - a popular fixture for those preparing for spring marathons.  The race featured the Hertfordshire 20-mile championships, and several Striders took on the undulating course to produce some outstanding results. More County medals followed - with Matt Cooper 1st in his age category and 2nd overall in 1.58.53 and Jonney Yeates close behind to claim bronze in 1.59.08. 

For the women, Sophie French placed 8th overall and 5th in her age category, with a time of 2.34.11. Danna Ma wasn’t far behind, finishing 9th woman and 2nd in her age category in 2.38.27. 

Further afield, Ben and Jenna Scott took part in the hot and sunny Bournemouth Bay 10k, completing the course in 58 minutes.
