Strides to success for St Albans Striders women

The Chiltern League cross-country season finished on Saturday with the women’s teams finishing in second (veteran women) and third (senior women) place.

With running clubs across Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire battling it out through mud and floods over the winter period, St Albans Striders have once again emerged victorious with silver and bronze positionings.

Lily Seach finished fifth overall in the senior category, the highest Strider position over the five Chiltern League events.

Other successes from the club over the weekend, included a stellar performance from Laura Johnston who placed 10^th in the Victoria Park Half Marathon with a time of 1.28 and Matt Nicholson who took second place at the ATW WGC 10k after soaring through at 35:30.
