The St Albans Striders membership year runs from April to March each year, concurrent with the England Athletics membership year.
If you have volunteered at a Striders event between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020 then you are eligible for volunteer membership at a discounted rate.

Race with Striders is for existing members who want to have a bit more structure and variety to their training. We now have three different pace groups that should cater for everyone in the club. Throughout the year we will have several training blocks for each group.
The training blocks have been put together by our coaches and include a variety of sessions to help you improve different aspects of your running and hopefully lead to some PB's.
By running with a smaller group of similar pace runners who will hopefully find that you will push each other that little bit more.
During each training block each group will also have social meet up after one or two of the sessions.
You don't have to sign up or attend every session. Feel free to dip in and out of sessions and run with different groups. However you will get more out of the training block the more sessions you do. Also if you can't make a training night you could also try doing your own run to match the training schedule. It's up to you!
This group is the fastest group and is aimed at runners who can run anything under a 44 minute 10k.
The sessions are coached by Mike Bridge, assisted by Run leaders Andy Auld and Mike Martin from time to time.

Green Group Training Plan Jan-Mar 2020
This group is aimed at runners who can run between a 44 and 52 minute 10k.
The sessions are led by Caroline Bailes assisted by other run leaders from time to time.

Orange Group Training Plan Mar-Apr 2020
This group is aimed at runners who can run 52+ minute 10k.
The sessions are led by run leaders Bernedette Newby, Joanne Tang, Julie Curtis and Sue Edwards.
Purple Group Training Plan Mar-Apr 2020
